Boxed, folded clothing typically rates class 125 (6 - 8 pcf); garments on hangers rate class 175 (4 - 6 pcf).
Folded and cartoned apparel packs reasonably tight and usually lands in the 6 - 8 pcf band, class 125. Garments on hangers (GOH) carry a lot of air and typically rate class 175.
Worked example. Four master cartons of folded apparel: 4 × 24 × 20 × 20 in, 42 lb each. That is 22.2 cu ft and 168 lb → 7.56 pcf → class 125. Run your own numbers →
Compression is money in this category: vacuum-packed or tightly cartoned goods can climb a band. Watch seasonal outerwear - puffer jackets and comforters can fall to 2 - 4 pcf and rate class 250 if they are not compressed.
